Shanika (Nikki) Carter and Monica Johnson crossed paths while working to service families in central Indiana. Their desire to serve others is not the only thing they have in common. Both share similar experiences with overcoming obstacles such as domestic violence, poverty, single parenting, homelessness, and other pressures that exist within their communities.

 

Together, they were determined to create a supportive network that would give other women the courage and strength to overcome their own challenges.
